Awards, Credentials, & Partnerships

You may have already heard that we are different from your average beauty school!  We are a community of fashion-forward, student-centric visionaries who are fanatically passionate about supporting Austin’s thriving beauty and wellness industry—from North Austin to South Austin. Our progressive, modern, comprehensive training programs and advanced education courses include:

Accreditation & Licenses

Not all cosmetology programs are created equal. Avenue Five Institute is proud to offer a program that has been approved by established national accreditation standards. Accreditation is a voluntary process that recognizes educational programs for having achieved a measurable level of quality, performance, and integrity. Accreditation also means that a school maintains important minimum student outcomes, including completion, licensure, and employment of graduates. In addition to serving as a reliable index of quality education, accreditation is required by the US Department of Education in order to allow eligible students to participate in federal grant and loan programs.

Institute Partnerships

Partnerships provide greater opportunities, and we’ve partnered with some of the leading brands in the industry, including Wella, Earthlite, Nuts & Bolts, and Dermalogica.

As a Wella Signature School we have access to ample experts and industry connections around the world. Plus, we offer regular on-campus training from Wella Educators. Learn more by visiting our Wella Signature School page.

Beauty is much more than skin deep. That’s why we vow to spread beauty around Austin in as many ways as possible. Every year, our students and staff donate countless hours of their time and talents to charitable causes.
